Reba Season 5
The fifth season of the Reba series was aired on September 16, 2005. The fifth season of the series also had twenty two episodes in it. The fifth season opens with Cheyenne, who starts taking this pill, which will make her seriously ill, if she takes alcohol. The problem emerges when Reba accidentally takes one of those pills, thinking it to be a vitamin pill and now Van and Cheyenne must stop her from drinking alcohol. On the other hand, Barbara talks about the dangers of smoking with Kyra and Jake. But she is unable to stop her husband, Brock from lighting a match. In the next episode of the series, Barbara then decides to look for a perfect guy for Reba. And for that she signs her up on an online dating service. But Barbara is really hurt when she finds out that she has started dating some other guy and then she and Brock gets into the race of proving to Reba that the guy they have chosen for her is the better one. But later in the series Barbara regrets her decision, because now Reba is too busy with her new boyfriend and doesn’t get much time to spend with them. On the other hand, Cheyenne and Van, too realize the responsibilities of raising their daughter, without Reba’s help. In the end of the episode it turns out that Reba is dating this huge musician named Ted.
Reba thinks that its time for her to invest in the real estate market, especially after her competitor is doing great in the line. But her only problem is that she cannot do it alone and for that she joins hands with Van. But when Reba finds out that Van has bought a home “as is”, without any inspections, she wants to break up the partnership with Van. In Barbara and Brock’s house, Barbara feels that Brock is ignoring her and starts taking refuge with an unlikely source and the person is the operator of her car’s navigation system. When Van continuously starts missing church, the whole family begins to worry.
When Reba and Barbara confront him on the issue, he tells them that he no longer believes in God and the reason behind the same is that he had to leave football; something that he was very good at and something that he wanted to do all his life. In order to get his faith back on God, Barbara and Reba talk to Reverend Parks and ask him to help the boy.
But, when Reverend Parks refuses saying that he can’t help the people who don’t want help, Reba gets very upset and tells him that she too has her doubts, now. In the after affects of the Hurricane Katrina, Jake and Reba get home a stray dog that survived the hurricane. When Reba meets the owners of the dog, she invites them to stay at her place, until they are able to get a home of their own. But Barbara gets the shock of her life when it turns out that there are eighteen people in the family. Apart from all that, Barbara Jean starts this campaign ‘Save the Dog’ and turns her house into a shelter for lost pets. Everything is fine but for the fact that Brock hates dogs and is very annoyed with Barbara’s this decision.
It’s Halloween and Reba has plans that will include the whole family, but she is disappointed when everyone else in the family has some other plans. On the other hand, Cheyenne is spending a lot of time with her handsome sponsor, Frank and that is upsetting Van to the extent that we get to see an unusual side of him. Now that Barbara Jean is pregnant, she has developed this hobby of eating; as a result she has put on a lot of weight. This is in fact worrying Brock and he seeks advice from Reba, who is also not able to help him.[Read More....]
