We can say that Christopher grew up with theatre. While he was still in High School, his teacher asked him to focus on acting, not knowing that acting will become his means of living. Ever since his High School, he has been performing in plays and then he even went ahead and received a master’s degree in theater arts from the Cornell University and studied acting at the University of Texas. After completing his degree, he moved to New York, where he started performing on stage and while he was playing Dionysus in The Bacchae on Broadway, he was noticed, giving way to his television and film career.
It was not only that he was acting, he was also producing and basically in order to collect funds for plays that he was producing, he got into television acting. He started his television career with joining the cast of ‘Another World’, where he played the role of Alexander ‘Sandy’ Cory for the next four years. He then moved to Los Angeles and started doing a number of television series. He has appeared in series like ‘The Charmings’ and the ‘Murphy Brown’. He is most famous with his role of Miller Redfield on ‘Murphy Brown’. Apart from that he is also very famous for his role of Brock in the series ‘Reba‘. In the series he plays ex- husband to Reba and marries Barbara Jean.
As far as his film career is concerned, he has starred in movies like ‘The Joy Luck Club’, ‘Prisoners of Inertia’ and in television movies like ‘Going Home’, ‘The Gambler IV’ and ‘In the Line of Duty: Manhunt in the Dakotas’. Coming to his personal life now he was married to Nancy Frangione, till 1996. He then married Eva Halina, a former Miss Poland, and has two children with her. The couple currently stays in Los Angeles. Besides acting, Rich has a fine collection of wines and loves playing golf and reading books.
